Seat 36K is listed as a bad seat on this map but I do think it has many advantages over other seats. The absence of a third seat means that the person seated in 36K has a very large area for storage. This was great for me as I am a photographer and carry a lot of equipment on my travels. Row 36 is also the first to be served and you are able to access the lavatories easily and quickly.

Excellent seat, but after trying a Qsuite it's definitely not nearly as private. Otherwise typical reversed herringbone layout, seat is angled towards the windows, but unlike on some airlines, there is no extended ("ears") curve at the top of the seat shell, which adds in privacy when seated upright. Service was top-notch, amenity kits and pajamas were given on this 7hr flight! food was OK, bed was sufficient for 3-4 hrs of good sleep. Good product for 7-8 hrs of flight. Row 3 is probably the best on this plane because there was literally no cross foot traffic to lavatories due to one lav being in the front and two in the back of the biz section.

Row 11 is behind where parents with babies can use bassinets. So avoid this row if you intend to get any sleep. As my flight had 4 babies yelling at once.

Not good - despite buying new aircraft QR are still fitting them out with horrible big metal entertainment boxes under many of the seats. The one under 11K reduces the width of the foot space, the one under 11J is at right-angles reducing depth instead. What a choice!

Having been allowed to explore the Economy section of this aircraft I can only agree that a 3-3-3 seating arrangement has been crushed into what should be 2-4-2. In the front cabin, however, where BA has 8 seats across (in its dreadful ying-yang layout) QR only has 4. so giving everyone direct aisle access. There is also a sense of spaciousness in the cabin, particularly because of the dresser type arrangement behind row 5. One downside is the lack of overhead bins for the middle seats. The seats are good, although the footwell a little cramped. I still prefer a QR A380, or any aircraft (such as a 777 or A350) offering the Q Suites. Having now flown on the 787s of five different airlines I must admit that I've never noticed the vaunted difference in pressurisation. Those enthusing about the of the windows aren't old enough to have flown in a Vickers Viscount.

Fantastic experience -window seats had lots of leg room and were very private despite the non Q-suite configuration. Notably, even though the flight originated in Dubai, the food which was mediocre quality and the selections were not exciting for such a long flight. You'd be advised to eat in the lounge before where the food was really great. Entertainment system is great. Some of the wines were inexpensive but the champagne was good.

The flight which I flew with Qatar Airways Boeing 787 Dreamliner was the QR 972 from Doha back to my home - Ho Chi Minh City in last July and my seat on that flight was 26H. Personally, I think this seat - 26H overall was a good seat for me since I had more legroom, the seat was so comfortable and the crew was so helpful and professional. I hope I have a chance to fly with Qatar Airways again in 2019.

I found this seat incredibly narrow. I had to move and suffer less legroom, which was more comfortable than having hips crushed in a small width seat. I am a very tall guy so needed the leg room.

Submitted by SeatGuru User on 2018/10/28 for Seat 10a

I don't know what all the fuss is about. Yes the seats are narrow but the bulkhead seats give you ample leg room and 2 windows. I found the window seat very accessible and comfortable, and far, far better than 11a!

Submitted by SeatGuru User on 2018/10/26 for Seat 32A

The seat is horrible, I am 1.83m tall, and my knees were stuck in the front seat at all times. It's also narrow, so if there are 3 people my size travelling shoulder to shoulder ,it'll be a very intimate experience. It was HORRIBLE, I am surprised they can fill the plane. Possibly everyone would avoid that aircraft if it'd be to fly a second time. The service was good tho, too bad they've wrecked such an amazing aircraft with their shitty seats. Never again !

Having read the reviews about the Dream liner we were anxious about our 9 hour Windhoek to Dohar flight. We're not regular long haul fliers, took advice and didn't book seats with the entertainment unit under them but honestly the units are not that big or bulky. We are shorter than average so leg room in economy was fine for us. The larger than average window with a built in 'blind'for you to self regulate brightness was very clever, didn't have to wear sunglasses in flight! Staff were lovely, nothing was any bother, and the food, well it's an airplane, and if you adjust your expectations you'll manage. For an infrequent flier on a 9 hour flight I was pleasantly surprised, it'll never be my idea of 'fun'flying for that long but this plane was comfortable, the engine noise was significantly less than older planes and there's lots of recent release movies to while away the many, many hours! I'd definitely fly with them again.

I flew DOH to CPT on June 1 on a 787-8 a "Dreamliner". This had a smaller cabin than previous flight, but the seats were the same, the service was excellent. Row 6 is a row all by itself; economy is behind a wall, and there is the entry wall in front of you. Pick a window seat if you want cool air as they have air vents above seats. Shorter flight, meals were more limited and the choices were not varied, but it is enough. Plenty of overhead storage, ports for charging electronics, the video monitor was a nice size without being too far away, tray table slides out from under it. The new "pod" designs are pretty compact but there is plenty of leg room and the seats lie flat. It was pretty comfortable for a 11 hour flight. The galley is in front of cabin, row 1 would get a lot of in and out from crew, but they try to be courteous. Great service by the crew!

Gold car privilege member. Thinking about flying with other airlines due to the eternal lack of comfort on DOH-BCN planes (Emirates has a A380 flying BCN from Dubai with similar prices). You must choose between an A340 and the narrow 787 economy seats. And the DOH-BKK 777 new row configuration (from 3-3-3 to 3-4-3) is shrinking my hip. Will miss the service though.

ABSOLUTELY the worst seat I have ever been in. the row is not wide enough for an XL size American. with seat in normal position, there was not enough room to open the tray. luckily the middle seat was empty so i used that tray. it was a real struggle to go out in flight to use bathroom with seat in front all the way back. did not have similar issue w/ AA dreamliner flight LAX to AUK LYR. will NEVER fly 787 on QR again. Have had no issue seats with their A 320 330 and 350 aircraft

Wonderful service from qatar, however this is the most uncomfortable seat i have had on a plane. The legroom is pitiful and the armrests really get in the way making the seat feel cramped.

New Dreamliner was excellent for our needs. Had 3 flights on this plane on roundtrip Madrid/Doha/Delhi. One thing to note that others have overlooked is that there IS ventilation for middle seat passengers, its just next to the single window seat. If you look you'll see 2 vents. Worked fine for me, although even the staff seemed unaware of it.

I know a lot of people are great fans of the dreamliner, but these seats are not as good as those in the Qatar 380 for example. There are no lockers in the middle of the plane, so you share with the passenger in the window seat, which is fine if that person hasn’t brought the full (generous) business class hand baggage allowance. I found the table irksome, and kept banging my knee on it. The foot rest is extremely narrow compared to other seats. Still very good, but not as good as others.

The QR 787 is a horrible aircraft - pathetic to call it a 5 star airline and operate this tight seating. I got bulkhead seats which are usually pretty good. But a super narrow seat and an non functioning air condition system made this flight unbearable. Very difficult to get out of the seat past other passengers. Advise when booking with QR try to get flights on airbus planes or the Boeing 777 that has 3-3-3 seating (they are changing many to 3-4-3 which also is a horrible experience).

Submitted by SeatGuru User on 2017/09/02 for Seat 19C

I dont know how many 787s QR have got like this but plane was a 3-4-3 layout in economy, horrificly narrow seats, noticebly worse than the 3-3-3 layout on the other QR 787 flights we took between BHX and BKK via Doha. The 3-3-3 layout is not overly great for an overnight flight, but the 3-4-3 for long haul is an absolute disgrace.

The window besides this seat isn't exactly in a nice position and you have to move your neck further back to get a good view of outside. This is a problem with the 2nd row of seats behind bulkhead, so I would advise to book behind this row if you want a comfortable view of outside.

Beware of all Qatar Airways Dreamliners! To reinforce what so many others have said: Boeing engineers & Qatar Airways beancounters have teamed up to make virtually every 3-abreast economy seat on this 787 aircraft a bad one: AISLES: large power supply box fitted exactly where one leg should be able to extend. MIDDLES: suffer from the usual "battle for armrest space", exacerbated by narrow seat width. WINDOWS: same power supply box problem + have to climb over 2 PAX to get out while being squished by fully reclined seats. ALL SEATS: misery compounded by limited seat pitch in combination with excessive recline of seat in front. Quintessential cattle-class, to be avoided if you can! Will "H.E.", the little guy with the big mouth" who runs this "5"-star airline please take notice of these comments? PS: QR in-flight service is very good, except for the odd practice, for no apparent reason, of waiting 15 minutes to clear trays and serve coffee. Maybe the idea to keep PAX stuck in their seats so FA's can eat their own dinners?

I flew this wonderful plane from Tokyo to Doha. Unfortunately the good things stop here. The seat is very very hard. The leg space is narrow is no space for knee (I have 5.8 ft). For dinner I had to choose form vegetarian or fish only. The staff it ok. It was a bad experience for 11.3 h flight.

Submitted by SeatGuru User on 2017/07/01 for Seat 11K

This plane is extremely uncomfortable, the seat pitch somehow seems a lot less than the 31 inches it says they are and the seats are also really narrow (I am slim)! This seat is very close to the bassinets and there was a screaming baby the whole flight which made for a pretty horrendous experience. The IFE was slow and didn't work as it was supposed to. Not impressed!

I find the QR seats comfortable, and even thou I prefer the B777 to the B787 seats they are still above average economy seats. Leg room is ok the seat might be a bit narrow but no worse than most other airlines.

Submitted by SeatGuru User on 2017/05/22 for Seat 30K

Unlike other reviewers, I found my economy seat on a HKG-DOH flight comfortable in itself, especially the adjustable headrest. However, it's true that legroom is limited by the metallic box underneath the seat in front and the insufficient pitch between rows. In fact, the seats recline too much for the available space between rows, which led to several intemperate arguments between passengers in my section of the cabin. As others have noted, the economy cabin on the QR 787 feels very cramped - a world away from the same class on the QR A350 which is roomy and airy.

Submitted by SeatGuru User on 2017/04/06 for Seat 30A

This was a roundtrip from Tokyo to Geneva, stopping in Doha. There are many intangibles that make the 787 very nice to fly in. The better cabin pressure really does help with easing the strain of a 10 hour flight, and combined with noise cancelling headphones, despite a 6 hour layover, this was, by far, the least physically demanding trip I have ever had in terms of fatigue and jet-lag. That being said, the cabin arrangement of the Qatar Dreamliners is less than ideal. While not horrific, I feel the seats and the leg and arm room are definitely a step backwards compared to a 777. I was distinctly reminded of being crammed into a 1990 Northwest Airlines 747. The entertainment center almost makes up for it, but with the seat in front of you in full recline, if you are unlucky enough to have a arm rest hogger, it is a very claustrophobic place, and I used to sevre on Submarines! If you are truly unlucky, as I was, you will have a gamer seated behind you, attacking the somewhat unresponsive touchscreen for hours, making your head feel like there is a woodpecker tapping away. One more issue. During the first leg of the trip, I thought somebody near me had some intestinal difficulties, but I noticed that every flight was the same in the 787: the bathrooms stank up the whole cabin with fecal smell. Not pleasant way to enjoy the increased sense of smell created by the lower effective cabin altitide. I cannot recommend the Qatar 787 economy class in its current layout/equipment arrangement, unless the ticket is deeply discounted. It was definitely not unbearable, but not the optimal experience either. I will very certainly try to book a 777 if I have the choice.

Submitted by SeatGuru User on 2017/03/31 for Seat 32F

Oh dear oh dear. If the seat arrangement in economy is a Boeing 'standard' fit on the Qatar Airways Zurich-Doha route, then they have messed up, BIG time. The old 777 set a standard in economy seating. Tis Dreamliner is rubbish. Incredibly thin rubber on seats, and very little seat at all - no leg room, poor recline, tiny thin armrests and no width. My advice, avoid Dreamliner at all costs unless you are in Business class (..although that also looked poor by comparison with 380, 777 etc.) Anyone can make business class acceptable. Only a few do the same for economy. PS: the economy seat was expensive, too!

Submitted by SeatGuru User on 2017/03/17 for Seat A1 Seat A1 has an added storage space plus extra leg room and the noise in the galley is not too loud. Submitted by SeatGuru User on 2017/03/15 for Seat 31A

Comments based on Manchester - Doha and return. I would recommend all travellers consider avoiding all of the window seats due a) to the poor alignment of seat to window (i.e. the seats don't align hence you crick your neck to get a view) and b) seat fixing plus the VOD box being attached to the seat fixing. This limits the amount of space for the leg closest to the side of the plane. While the Dreamliner is certainly a technologically advanced airplane (e.g. the dimming windows and ability to fly higher than many other planes) the seat configuration feels to be based on a sardine tin (how many can you pack in) rather than passenger comfort. It may be fine for flights up to 3 hours but beyond that I feel a larger plane (e.g. the excellent 777) to be needed. I will consider avoiding routes served by Dreamliners in future. Qatar Airways staff excellent!

this was definite the seat with the smaller legroom on an intercontinental flight. I'm 2m tall (6-6) and my knee was direct to the back of the front seat. I recommend 17F, the seat I had on the back trip which hast at least 2cm more space

Flight from Manchester to Doha; seat too hard, too narrow and poor legroom, will not fly on a Dreamliner again. In contrast rest of flight to KL was on a 777, and very comfortable. The arrangement of the seats with the heads away from each other is perfect for the single traveller, but travelling with my husband, it was rather annoying that we could not chat without actually shouting. So what was ment to be a cosy start of a longer vacation, turned into a silent tour. Apart from that the seats were absolutely luxurius. Service was excellent, the food so-so! Presented almost artistically, with beautifull colours, the wiev alone was mouthwatering. The greater was the disappointment when 'digging in', it tasted of absolutely NOTHING.

Flew Madrid to doha on the beautiful Dreamliner and I couldnt fault the seat or the service. Super comfortable - only enhanced by the fact that you dont feel like youve sat on a plane for 7 hours due to the air quality and pressure. The good thing about this seat is that you can recline as far as you want and it is close the toilet as it became really handy when you really need to go there. However it tend to get very noisy and a lot of foot traffic during meal and after breakfast service when many people tend to go the bathroom. The worst seats on the B787 Dreamliner and a disgrace for Qatar to try to sell these seats (as business class)! We had requested and allocated seats 1E & 1F not his sector (Doha to Cape Town) for months, but when I checked in online, the system gave us these terrible seats, next to the toilets, and just in front of economy. We protested for 12 hours, and only when we boarded at Doha, 30 minutes before takeoff did we manage to get 2E and 2F. We went to check out 6E & 6F and they look like an afterthought by Qatar. These should be sold as Premium Economy for parents with children because they are separated from the main business cabin, and are next to the toilets on both sides. How dare Qatar try to flip these seats to us (full fare paying pax)?

Flew the 787 from Brussels to Doha. This is not a Dreamliner, but a Screamliner. Seats narrow and uncomfortable. Aircraft is really nice, with nice features like large windows etc. But that is all to disguise the really bad comfort in economy class. Service was not good. All meal choices were gone; red wine was out (we were 6th row to be served). On a 6-hour flight we hardly saw the crew. PA address in English was very hard to understand. My wife swapped & I moved to the aisle seat (36F) with the stupid box, hoping to stretch out in the aisle. The box killed my left leg above the ankle, so I used my wife's space. My other leg resided in the aisle. I was run over by the trolley & stomped on by the odd person going past. A kid in front fully reclined for the whole journey (7 hrs). I had to do the same; to my dismay, I found it to be completely unergonomic: Neither cushion or my own back-support could fit. The screen was so close, I had to stop watching it (eye strain). For an airline who boasts being 5 star and proudly present this "Dreamliner", the seating is miserably cramped. I am a short person of 163 cm, and I felt cramped in this seat for a 6 hour flight. Business Class on the B787 was the BEST business class EVER. Good entertainment, food, recline, service, windows. Would certainly recommend the B787 to anyone that travels on Qatar. Also the 6EF seats aren't intended for "comfort", but more intended for "couples" travelling together in Business Class. Overall, an extremely good flight for a 50 minute flight DXB-DOH.

This would normally not be a problem apart from the fact that the remote CANNOT be removed, which I have never seen on any other seat near an emergency exit or bulkhead. This fact makes it actually impossible to control the IFE with it. Furthermore the headsets in economy are of a poor quality.

Qatar Airways flt #1056 is on a boeing 787. This was an almost empty flight. The seat has plenty if legroom and is ideal for any length of flight.

Great Seat in the Dreamliner's Business Class. Close to the Galley so beware of minor disturbances when the Crew is at Service

Yes, the windows are large. But the seats are narrow! I truly believe this airplane is designed for 8 seats accross, not 9. Even 'normal' people will be touching shoulders, not to mention sitting next to someone overweight. The seats do have a large recline which is ok as long as everybody is either upright or is reclined.

Submitted by SeatGuru User on 2015/10/13 for Seat 33h

The Gold standard for the worst flight available. The cramped seats, coupled with that IFE box combines to place Qatar in a unique class of absolute "never agains". Surely if they had to have such a massive box at your feet, a simple plastic or rubber shield could have been fitted to prevent the agony against your ankle? Passengers sitting at the windows have to climb over two pairs of legs just to go the the loo- just torture. To add a cherry on top of the whole cake, when you arrive at Doha airport, just get shouted at by Gestapo guards to be screened again! You have just got off a flight and must now remove your shoes and belt before you can enter their airport. When we wanted to take off, the 787 had a breakdown and we had to return to the terminal- guess what, you go through the screening process again!

I traveled Doha-Cape Town on 18/09/15 Extremely narrow and uncomfortable seat. No leg room and uncomfortable tight fit. Qatar is a 5 Star airline and I traveled with them many times previously on their other aircraft types and seating configuration in their Airbus and other Boeing aircraft by far more comfortable. The passenger experience in economy class is a real nightmare and strongly suggest Qatar management again review seating configuration in Y-class on the so called 'Dreamliner'. I for one will most certainly no longer choose to fly on the Qatar 787 economy unless the seating situation is reviewed and rectified.

Submitted by SeatGuru User on 2015/09/30 for Seat Business

Business Class on Qatar and in particular Dreamliner are amazing and the best I have seen in a long time! The configuration means that you don't have to climb over anyone and the bed reclines 180 degrees. The tv is very large. The only warning I would have is row 6 - as these two seats are in-between the lavatories (not ideal).

Submitted by Roger R on 2015/09/29 for Seat 20C

I am not getting it as Qatar promotes it selves as a 5 star aliance, buying the 787 what promotes it selves as more luxury as average. The seat pitch and also the position of the seat is just standard, as what every airline brings, worse, if you recline, you reduce you're own legroom. As I am tall, this flight was not a 5 star experience.

Worst flights ever (Johannesburg to Athens via Doha). The room in economy class seats on the 787 Dreamliner for someone 1,83mtr tall is in adequate. Food was also the worst I have ever had on any airline. Staff have good attitude though.

Worst aircraft seating configuration economy class in aviation history. Traveled many times previously with this airline before flying on this 'Nightmare Liner' There is something seriously wrong with the seats in y-Class (Economy) - extremely narrow, cramped, no leg room especially when seat in down position in front. I will avoid traveling in economy on the 787-8 in future.

Submitted by SeatGuru User on 2015/09/18 for Seat 3A

Travelled AMS-DOH-DPS and back, all in the same seat. The comments about the Economy seat in de B787 are gruesome but the normal business class seats (avoid the weirdly situated 6E/F combo) are fantastic. Comfortable, wide, well thought out and with enough space to store your belongings. I would rate these seats higher than the Emirates Business seat on the A380. Overall performance rivals First on most other airlines. Selection on IFE could be better, in this respect Emirates still wins.

Submitted by SeatGuru User on 2015/09/09

As to seat pitch, I agree with the comments here. I had a window seat and it has a bulky TV entertainment system box under the seat. Once the person front of you reclined its seat, the monitor came very close, as same length as A4 paper long side. Other than that, overall service is good

Submitted by SeatGuru User on 2015/08/10 for Seat 24A

Unfortunately I have to agree with most of the comments above. The Qatar 787 experience was really disappointing. I mean the 787 truly is great. Amazing windows, beautiful wing flex, good lighting, noticable better cabin air, but what is the point of all this if your seat is narrow like in Qatar's nine abreast. The passenger simply will feel tired, no matter how advanced a plane is made. Boeing should simply oblige airlines to only use the 8 abreast and especially from Qatar airway you might expect this. A crew member told me that many passengers complain about the seats and they already prefer the A350. I hope Qatar will take notice. The Qatar 787's are perfect for shorthaul flight, but please avoid the economy class on routes longer than four hours.

Submitted by SeatGuru User on 2015/08/05

It does have nice and fancy windows where you can adjust the brightness but the seat is extremely cramped and it was really not enjoyable at all.

Submitted by SeatGuru User on 2015/08/04 for Seat 28A

This is the worst plane I have travelled with as a long houl flight! A seat width of 17.2 is the same seat width as in regional flights and Qatar uses it in international flights. I have have never felt so crampet in a seat as Qatar Airways Boeing 787. I recommend to travel with other aircrafts like Boeing 777 or Airbus A330 that has at least a seat width of 18.

Avoid Economy Class in this aircraft in total as it wasn't spacious at all and my legs started to ache which was really bothersome on a long haul flight.

Submitted by SeatGuru User on 2015/07/23 for Seat 15A

Recently flew the 6 hour flight from CPH-DOH. I am 191cm tall. I am not sure what all the "worst seat ever" complaints are about. OK there is less legroom than on other Qatar planes, but the 31 inch pitch is totally ample - in fact it's standard on a lot of other airlines, e.g. Qantas.

Submitted by SeatGuru User on 2015/07/19 for Seat 33F

Seat is very small even for my size(5.7 inch). never faced leg room problem for my size so far in any airline. Dreamliner seems to be a disappointment. i will never fly in B787 again.

Submitted by SeatGuru User on 2015/06/14 for Seat 22B

Followed the advice of other reviewers to select any middle seat in each block of 3 so as to avoid the entertainment control box, which is mounted under seats A,C,D,F,G & J and have some leg room. Good decision but didn't see that as the biggest issue with this aircraft's seating arrangement. Must be cost considerations that drive a quality airline like Qatar to have 3/3/3 on the inappropriately named 'dreamliner'. It's far too cramped. The seats are comfortable enough, but when the person in front reclines the screen is about 2 inches from the end of our nose! There's no room to put anything in the seat pocket and it's impossible to get anything out. Leaving your seat to visit the toilet is a major undertaking. Some facilities on the entertainment were not working and I didn't like the windows, which when darkened give the impression that it's midnight outside in the middle of the day and depressingly gloomy in the cabin. I did appreciate the much quieter engines though.

Submitted by SeatGuru User on 2015/06/12 for Seat 36B and 36J

Even though it is close to the lavatory,it is not really bothersome unless they queue. The entire rows seats have full recline which actually provide more comfort as no one is behind you to knock your seat every time they get up. There is also no seat next to the window, providing more comfort and "space". The only disadvantaged is that you get served last, and therefore may not get the options you prefer.

Submitted by SeatGuru User on 2015/06/02 for Seat 17 AB

Having just travelled back on the 787 I have to agree with the vast majority of comments that this plane is very uncomfortable. The seat pitch is tight at 31 inches but for me it's the seat width that is just unbearable - it's just so narrow and I'm average build. You are forced to keep your arms tucked beside you and when you have to TRY and eat your meal it's bordering on the ridiculous. Having the 3-3-3 configuration is simply putting profit over comfort in my view. We'll never again take a 787 - Dreamliner it certainly isn't. The food/crew/IFE we're all very good though.

Had the row to myself due to a quiet flight. Seat was comfy as was the 787. Only downside was the entertainment box at your feet. Also sat at a window seat on the way back and couldn't get comfy at all due to curve of the aircraft and the entertainment box. Would recommend an aisle seat if you're tall.

Submitted by SeatGuru User on 2015/05/29 for Seat 11C

Give Qatar 787 economy a miss. The seats have little padding, are uncomfortable and are simply useless. The moment the passenger in front of you reclines her seat you cannot use the "entertainment system". To add insult to injury the aisle seats have a metal box on the floor in front of you for the entertainment system, further limiting legroom. Had no problem on Qatar 777 or A380. The 787 is probably OK for short flights but give aircraft a miss on anything longer than 120 minutes flying time. Great pity.

Submitted by SeatGuru User on 2015/05/14 for Seat 15H

I was looking forward to flying with Qatar, as being a "5 Star Airline" you expect a little more than BA! What a disappointment. The 787 is just awful. The leg room is inadequate for the flight times it undertakes. As soon as we took off the person in front reclined and trapped my knees under the back of her seat. What a travesty that this airline has chosen to cram us in like cattle. The fact that you have a very nice HD screen for the IFE is lost when it is 3 inches from your face. NEVER again. even though all the crews were great!

Ok, for starter I am a competing semipro/amateur bodybuilder at 1,83 cm and offseason weight for the fligt at 125 kg. I had no problem what so ever to fit in and feel descent in this flight. I do not know how the other people could find such problems with in-flight system unit or whatever poking their legs. This flight and same back was without any problems. If you are used to flying A380 first class you will probably be disappointed with what you find in coach class in the dreamliner. But trust me there is much worse than this. All in all not bad and not exceptional good but what do you expect from coachclass, really?!

Traveled from Rome to Doha. Seats in coach on this plane were very comfortable. I'm also confused by some of the negative comments. Only really large passengers would feel cramped and uncomfortable in this plane, just as they would in just about any other coach seat on any other airline.

Avoid coach class on Qatar Airways' 787 Dreamliners! Probably this is the worst coach class in the entire industry. The 787 was designed to accommodate 2-4-2 seats in a row. Qatar Airways (and some other operators as well) put 3-3-3. Legroom is zero. A 9 hour flight is a physical torture for even a small frame person.

I often read what other passengers write regarding economy seats. Often I've noticed that the comments about hard seats, narrow seats, uncomfortable seats wasn't that bad. Until I flew with the 787 with Qatar. I'm 6'1 (186 cm) tall, skinny. I fit in most seats. This was just way too uncomfortable. When seat in front gets reclined, the tv gets in your face. The seat is so low that when sitting all the way up your thighs doesn't even touch the seat, when seat reclined there is hardly no way to get your feet and legs to rest, mainly also because A and C seats got the big box for the TV under the seat in front of you. 6h of pain. Never going to go with Qatar 787.

the Dreamliner is a great airplane, the aircraft was clean and impeccable, but the seating is just wrong, super uncomfortable , I’m 5,6 and still was struggling to find a comfortable position, I was seating in the window and the airplane fuselage just curves enough so that there is a space between your seat so it makes it difficult rest your head and get some sleep, I’m flying again this 787-8 and will update my experience, service and staff were fine, up to class and well trained.

Flew Qatar from Dubai to Europe and back last xmas. A320's over and back to Doha, we were a bit excited for our first ride on a B787 from Doha to Dubai. Huge dissapointment, I have no idea about the rest of the plan. It was 1hr flight of hell due to the extremely close seats. I normally get asle as I am 192cm, 6'4". This didn't work, the seat in front was so close the large TV was like sitting in front row of cinema. It was Hell. I WILL NEVER FLY Qatar Airways B787 again. Reading others, its a common trend and even some other airlines seem to have gone down the same path. The only way I will book a B787 is after checking comments and published data on seat pitch.

My husband i flew from Doha to Denpasar in Nov 14. we were very disappointed with the dreamliner and will never fly on this plane again with Qatar. The staff were good and the refreshments were constant but the seats are so tight that the 9 hour flight was unbearable. This was made worse if the person in front put their seat back leaving the screen mere inches from your face and unable to use the tray when food was served. there are only economy or business class. i would rename this plane the hell-liner if you have to fly economy.

This is a bad seat, being a middle seat that is also suffering from reduced foot space due to an IFE box of the exit row seats in front.

6E/6F are an isolated pair of seats centrally located behind the business class toilets, separated from economy class only by the bulkhead behind them and aisle curtains. Not even a hint of window left or right. On my flight a steady stream of economy class adult passengers frustrated by the lack of facilities until row 25 kept coming through the gap. Galley and staff at at the front of business class and can't enforce the partition . The toilets are loud, the smell drifted back and frankly 6E/6F are lie-flat economy at business class price. Awful layout planning.

This being my first experience on a B787-Dreamliner, turned out to be quite disappointing. Although I had read about each window and aisle seat having limited legroom, the real experience turned out to be far more inconvenient than what I read about. It is very congested to stretch the leg, and even though the flight duration was less than 4-hours, I ended up with a painful situation. I have decided NOT to travel on a B787 (economy class) again. Unfortunately, food served on the flight was also stale, not cooked properly, and the crew could even offer an alternative. Overall, an experience I would like to forget!! I strongly urge people to avoid dreamliner's aisle/window seats. Although, i am not a fan of center seats, if inevitable, I might end up choosing it.

When flying long distance, you want a comfortable ride. This you will not get on the Qatar Airways 787s. Unfortunately, Qatar invested in the planes, in the service which is by the way good, in the seats and entertainment but not in the layout! Seats are very, very tight, just as flying the worst of low cost airlines, absolutely no leg room, I am 185cm tall, and my flight way pure hell regarding comfort. Never flew any airliner so uncomfortable. This is meant to be a plane for long flights! Never fly it if you are flying long distances, unless they have the old Airbus or the 777. But don't if its the 787. Service is great, food is good, toilets are well equipped, nice creams etc.. But unfortunately, that's not what I look for when flying the long distance. Remind you, Qatar Airways is not a cheap airline!

Found the seats exceptionally uncomfortable and seemed very cramped compared with 777. Reason was the entertainment box that took up a considerable amount of the foot well and meant that I had to sit with my legs permanently angled to the right. Left leg was constantly banging against the box. Found it difficult to walk as both legs were in pain when I managed to get out of the seat in Singapore. It seems to be a very well run airline with good service but this will be the last time I will fly on a QR 787. Much too painful.

The economy seats on Qatar B787 are very disappointing. The experience in other Qatar aircraft eg 777-300 has been good, and the people and service remain very good, but on a long haul flight the seat is key, service secondary. On the Qatar 787 every A,C,D,F,G and K seat has the entertainment control box protruding well back from the seat in front, about a third of the width in front of your seat. Because it comes so far back if you try and extend your leg past it it digs into your shins. If there is someone in the middle seat it is even worse as you can't angle your legs at all. I bet the Boeing and Qatar execs who signed off on these seats never sat in one, and I expect never plan to. In that respect we have something in common, as I will avoid Qatar B787 from now on. Oh yes, i am not tall, just 172cm / 5ft8in.

You will not regret purchasing a ticket to fly with Qatar Airways especially in this aircraft. Their service is top notch, friendly, and very professional from check in to arrival at your destination. The in flight entertainment system is top of the line. Leaps and bounds ahead of many other airlines currently. The touch screen handheld devise is a nice touch and makes operating the IFE System a breeze. It is quite possibly the easiest IFE system i have operated. The seats are comfortable and seem to have a bit more space than other airlines. Food is good a bit above other airlines Economy Class offerings. I am a British Airways regular. I now travel through Germany quite often for business from Doha and look forward to these flights often. Being a One World air carrier is a big plus for them. I only wish I could accrue tier points and Avios and the ability to upgrade with Qatar Airways like I would if I flew British Airways. Qatar Airways would Benefit greatly from having a Premium economy product on board the 787. After all is said and done. Qatar Airways is a fine airline, they have excellent service and take pride in it. The 787 dreamliner experience is like no other aircraft I have ever flown on. I am looking forward to the new Doha International Airport opening. Surely to make the Qatar Airways experience that much better. Qatar Airways is definitely showing off its fleet of 787 Aircraft and rightly so.
